To book a tour with Mundo Inca, you only need to pay the amount requested for the tour and send photos of your passport. The amount varies according to the date of the reservation: Only after written confirmation from Mundo Inca, your reservation will be 100% confirmed.
Tours such as Inca Trail: For all tours that include the 2, 4 and 5 day Inca Trails, you need to make an initial payment of US$250.00 per person.
Alternative Trails: For alternative trails, for all trekking tours that do not include the Inca Trail, you need to make an initial deposit of US$200.00 per person.
Cultural Tours: For all multi-day tours in shared or private service, travelers must make an initial payment that will be requested by our team.
The initial deposit is based on the cost of booking your tours, including Inca Trail permits, Machu Picchu entrance fees, train tickets and hotels.
The initial payment or deposit is non-refundable and cannot be transferred under any circumstances.
Make the payment for the amount requested for the reservation using the method that is most convenient for you. Make sure you receive proof of payment and send it to the agency.
The remaining amount will be paid in Cusco before starting the tour in cash, if paid by card there will be an additional fee of 5.5%..
Unfortunately, all initial deposits are 100% non-refundable as we use this money to reserve your licenses. However, you will benefit from our lifetime deposit guarantee. This means that in the event of travel restrictions related to force majeure events that may prevent you from entering the country.
- – If you cancel your tour at least 1 month in advance, you will not lose your deposit; you can use this amount to book future tours (this only applies in case of force majeure).
- – If you cancel any of our tours before 72 hours of departure: 100% of the total cost is due.
- – Cancellation during the tour, i.e. inability to continue: 100% non-refundable.
A force majeure event is an unforeseeable event that prevents someone from fulfilling a contract. In the case of Machu Picchu, a force majeure event could be something like a natural disaster that damages the site or makes it inaccessible. If such an event were to occur, the company responsible for operating Machu Picchu would not be liable for any damages.
This includes war or threat of war, riots, strikes, terrorism, disease, natural disasters, adverse weather, fire or similar calamities. Mundo Inca reserves the right to modify, postpone or cancel trips (cancellation is usually the last option, we usually offer an alternative option).
Visitors are responsible for ensuring they have valid visas and passports. Passports must be valid for at least 6 months beyond the date of travel. Mundo Inca is not responsible for passport issues, so visitors should check visa requirements, if applicable, and travel with a valid passport.
Children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult. Discounts may apply for children under 17.
Please inform your travel agent if you are traveling with children to request discounts; strollers are also available. Advance requests are required; last-minute requests for a student/child discount are not applicable.
The prices on our website are per person in shared or group service depending on the category of hotel you want, for tours in private or particular service there are other prices and you have to get in touch.
Tipping in Peru is completely voluntary. Guidelines on tipping are provided with your final travel documents during the briefing session held the day before your trip.
During the excursions, you must strictly follow the instructions of the guides. All the Inca sites and locations we visit have restrictions that must be respected. If you have any problems with the excursions, please inform your guide or the office staff so that they can resolve any issues.
Our priority as a company is the safety of the group. Therefore, if a traveler’s behavior is detrimental to the safety and well-being of the group, incompatible with other members or contrary to the progress of the itinerary, Mundo Inca reserves the right to require that person to withdraw from the tour. Anyone asked to withdraw for these reasons will not receive a refund.
Train tickets are subject to availability. Mundo Inca reserves the right to reserve the most convenient trains for the group in the Expedition Service. If you need to catch specific trains earlier or later, please let us know by email in advance; additional fees may apply.
Our group tours start with 2 people and have a maximum of 16 people. Group tours are open to everyone. By booking a group tour, you agree to travel with other travelers of different ages, countries and speeds. Tours may be canceled if the minimum number of 2 people is not reached.
All our tour guides are fluent in English and native speakers of Spanish and Portuguese for private tours.
No caso de acidentes, ajudaremos a retornar ao centro médico ou hotel mais próximo. O traslado de helicóptero, o transporte e as despesas médicas são por conta do viajante. A Mundo Inca se reserva o direito de cancelar, modificar ou remarcar a viagem em caso de condições climáticas adversas, catástrofes, greves ou lesões durante a viagem. Nesse caso, serão aplicados os termos e condições padrão.

The laws of Peru will govern the use of this website, and Mundo Inca customers agree to submit to the jurisdiction of the courts of Peru in any dispute relating to these Terms.
